AGAPI | ΑΓΑΠΗ
& OTHER KINDS OF LOVE
Presented by Metro Arts and Brisbane Festival
This century-hopping journey with the gods will make you fall in love with love all over again.
Australian poet and rapper, Luka Lesson, will fire up your heart and imagination with this powerful performance on love and affection, accompanied by cinematic scores and hip hop composed by Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s James Humberstone.
Inspired by his Greek heritage, Luka’s poignant poetry delves into selflove, erotic love, the love of strangers, the love of deep friendships and the ultimate agapi in this modern exploration of Plato’s The Symposium.
“Luka is masterful in his ability to weave words into heartbreaking, near cinematic life. The only sounds outside the music and the poetry were the gasps of the audience and a well-earned standing ovation.” – SCENESTR MAGAZINE
Due to the current NSW Covid-19 restrictions and border closures, as a NSW based production, AGAPI & Other Kinds of Love will not be proceeding. All ticket holders have been refunded.
