CINEMA HIRES

Metro Arts’ Lumen Room was the original Dendy Cinemas in Brisbane, and was one of the most happening joints in the city. We converted the cinema into a theatre space in the early 00’s but in 2016 we needed it back to its original condition! We tracked down the original seating, and it is now a retro style space that can seat up to 115 people!

The facilities allow for personalized ticketing, a bar, or your own alcohol under the supervision of a duty manager. With highly competitive prices, it’s perfect for intimate screenings or student films!

TICKETING:

Metro Arts has our own optional ticketing system:

Minimum of $210.00 per performance or $3.20 per ticket sold. This cost includes;

  • 2 Box Office staff to run FOH/Box Office (Monday – Saturday. Sunday’s will be additional cost).
  • Listing on our website.
  • Social Media.
  • Weekly ticketing reports.
  • Thorough ticket reconciliation at the end of your performance/season.

 

INSURANCE:

Hirers are required to obtain, and provide evidence of public liability insurance to minimum amount of $10 million.

 

AFTER HOURS ACCESS:

If you intend on being in the space out of office hours (9am-4pm Monday – Friday) you will need a key. This requires a refundable $50 key bond.

 

ALCOHOL AND LICENSING:

All venues at Metro Arts are fully licensed.

Metro Arts Bar: $175.00 /per performance.

To supply your own alcohol, you will be required to have a Metro Arts Duty Manager: $34/hr minimum 3hrs.
