Writer and performer Anna McGahan, and actor, writer and chef Daniel Wilson examine the horrors of the food industry and the culinary world, delving into immersive techniques, and experimental food theatre to create a multi-sensory storytelling experience.

Carcass is a metaphor for the abuse that hospitality professionals learn to endure and enact in order to pursue success. Our audience will experience this production from the perspective of the diner, the chef, and perhaps even the food itself.

Using immersive techniques, experimental food theatre (and audience tasting), physical theatre and dance and video projection, we want to create a stimulating, multi-sensory storytelling experience. The soaring heights of decadent cuisine, slick, dance-like knife work, and idealistic culinary culture, meeting the murky depths of surrealist horror, exploited relationships and bodies sacrificed on the altar of ‘fine food’.
