Led by Emma Churchland and Dan Gough, IMRSE strives to tell stories in ways that only theatre can.
Their work is enduringly engaging and unpredictable because it reinvents the roles of performer, audience and space – our work posits tasks and challenges for performer and audient alike, which unfold in real-time and form the foundations of the theatre event.
As part of their residency at Metro Arts, IMRSE will present CAKE – a wicked satire exploring the perils of cancel culture and the power of reputation. IMRSE will also develop two new works through our creative development program – INVADER and VERONA.
Metro Arts’ Company in Residence Program exists to provide vital resources to artists of all stages and skill levels – so they can continue to make work, and thrive, rather than just survive.
