Metro Arts Survey 2023 | Competition Terms and Conditions

  • General
      • The Promoter is METRO ARTS Ltd whose registered office is 111 Boundary Street, West End, QLD 4101.
      • Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of terms and conditions.
      • To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other reference to this Competition, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
  •  Prizes
      • The competition is run in conjunction with Metro Arts 2023 Audience Survey – promoted via Metro Arts Social Media (Instagram and Facebook); and to existing e-newsletter subscribers.
      • The Metro Arts Audience Survey 2024 is open from 5pm, 29 October – 5pm, 6 November 2023. 
      • By entering the competition, entrants indicate their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. Prizes will be drawn weekly from Tuesday 3 October 2023 through to Tuesday 7 November 2023. as per the below schedule: 
      • Prize 1: Competition entry dates: 5pm, Friday 29 September 2023 to 5pm, Tuesday 3 October 2023.
        Prize 1 consists of 1 x  Metro Arts MAVA Workshop Membership (value: $77), HAFCO Goodies Bag (value: approx $288), Chapman and Bailey gift voucher value (value: $100) – redeemable in store (excludes picture framing services).
        Total prize value: $465. Prize 1 will be drawn on 10am Tuesday 3 October 2023.
      • Prize 2: Competition entry dates: Tuesday 3 October 2023 to 5pm, Tuesday 10 October 2023.
        Prize 2 consists of 1 x Circa Academy Beginner Mixed Aerials Term 4 Pass, to be booked for November classes in 2023 for either Monday 5.45pm – 7:15pm or Tuesday 7:30pm – 9:00pm.
        Total prize value: $350. Prize 2 will be drawn on 10am Tuesday 10 October 2023. 
      • Prize 3: Competition entry dates: Tuesday 10 October 2023 to  5pm, Tuesday 17 October 2023.
        Prize 3 consists of 1 x NIDA Presenting with Confidence Workshop Pass on Friday 10 November 2023 at Metro Arts, West End. Total value: $1,340. Prize 3 will be drawn on 10am Tuesday 17 October 2023.
      • Prize 4: Competition entry dates: Tuesday 17 October to 5pm, Tuesday 24 October 2023. Prize 4 consists of x2 Dendy Cinema Adult Tickets valued at $35, and 1 x Archive Beer Boutique + Loft Gift Voucher (valid in-store only) valued at $100. Total prize value: $135. Prize 4 will be drawn 10am Tuesday 24 October 2023.
        Prize 5: Competition entry dates: Tuesday 24 October to 5pm, Tuesday 31 October  2023. Prize 5 consists of x 1 double in-season pass to Face to Face by Emily Wells, 8 – 12 November 2023, valued: $98; and 1 x double in-season pass to Son by Circa Cairns, 7pm Thursday 23 November, valued at $98. Total value: $196. Prize 5 will be drawn 10am Tuesday 31 October 2023.
      • Prize 6: Competition entry dates: Tuesday 31 October to 5pm, Monday 6 November 2023. Prize 6 consists of 1 x Queensland Theatre double pass to Vietgone valued at $142; and x 1 Brisbane Brewing Co gift voucher valued at  $50. Total value: $192. Prize 5 will be drawn 10am Tuesday 7 November 2023.
      • Winners will be chosen by random by an electronic system. Only one prize per winner will be allocated per giveaway.
      • The winner/s will be contacted by Metro Arts via phone and email by 5:00pm the following day after the prize closes. 
      • If the winner does not respond within 24 hours to confirm that they would like to claim their prize, they must forfeit the prize and another winner will be drawn.
      • By entering this competition, entrants agree to receive information and marketing communications via email, mail, or phone.
      • Competition entrants have the right to unsubscribe from Metro Arts emails at any time via a link provided at the bottom of all email communications.
      • Tickets and prize packs are not negotiable or redeemable for cash or transferable.Lost or stolen prizes cannot be replaced. No responsibility will be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
      • No further correspondence will be entered into regarding the competition outcome. Physical prizes will need to be arranged to be collected from the Metro Arts office as listed above.
      •  If for any reason any winner does not take the prize or an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will not be redeemable for cash.
      • The prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. Please contact the service providers for terms and conditions applicable for each prize.
  • How to Enter: 
      • Entrants must fully and correctly complete and submit the Metro Arts survey online, and opt in to be in the competition draw. If you do not supply the information, your entry will be deemed invalid. You may only enter this competition once.
      • Competition entry is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.
  • Eligibility
      • To be eligible to enter this Competition, a person must:
        • be over 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry;
        • be a permanent resident of the State of Queensland;
        • fully and correctly follow the instructions on How to Enter
        • The competition is open to residents of Australia only.
        • Entrants can only enter once, additional entries will be rejected. 
        •  The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardize the fair and proper conduct of the competition.
  • No liability of Promoter
    • The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible entries. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the Prizes to the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury sustained in connection with the entry into the Competition or acceptance of the Prize. This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws. Any such liability is limited to the resupply of the Prize.
    • In no event shall the promoter or its staff be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with the competition or the use of any prize, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise.
    • The Promoter reserves the right to alter or amend these Terms and Conditions and/or cancel the Competition at any time prior to the Competition opening without further recourse to the entrants.
    • Important – Privacy: The information that entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the Competition and of periodically providing entrants with marketing information about the Promoter’s products and services. By entering this Competition entrants consent to the use of their contact details for the purposes described in this clause.
    • Force Majeure: If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter), which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action that may be available and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify all entries from any individual who tampers with, or benefits from tampering with the entry process which as a result corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition.
    • In the case of intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolution discretion cancel the Competition and recommence it from the start with the same conditions.
    • The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
