ARTS STARTS HERE

…WITH HELP FROM PEOPLE LIKE YOU.

Metro Arts emboldens artists to push boundaries, generate new ideas and create powerful work.

In the last 5 years, our supporters and donors enabled Metro Arts to activate, connect and deliver

  • 85 exhibitions and 93 performance seasons
  • 22 Artist residencies and 42 new performance works in development
  • 249 community events

Our supporters, people just like you, make this possible. They include individuals, businesses, and foundations that together ensure the future of contemporary art to start conversations, dissolve barriers, challenge thinking and enrich lives.

Read on below to find out about our Supporter Levels and their benefits. You can donate here or complete the donation form. The Metro Arts team is available to assist and can be contacted via phone: (07) 3002 7100 or email us here.

All donations over $2.00 are tax-deductible.

Your impact as an Ally
(donation of $25 or more per month)

Our Allies provide the steady foundation that allows artists to take risks, experiment and grow. Through regular giving, Allies become part of the Metro Arts community and stay connected to the artists and ideas they help bring to life.

Supporters may receive invitations to selected Metro Arts events and opportunities to connect with our artistic community throughout the year.

Your impact as an ArtStarter
(donations of $500 or more)

ArtStarters back the earliest stages of artistic development – the moment when an idea first becomes possible. Their support helps independent artists test, explore and create ambitious new work.

ArtStarters are recognised as valued supporters of artist development and may receive invitations to special gatherings, celebrations and opportunities to engage with the Metro Arts community.

Your impact as an ArtPartner
(donations of $2,500 or more)

ArtPartners form a growing circle of supporters who share a curiosity about contemporary culture and a commitment to new artistic voices. Their generosity helps artists move from experimentation to presentation.

ArtPartners enjoy deeper opportunities to connect with artists, projects and the creative process through selected behind-the-scenes experiences and supporter events.

Your impact as a Major Supporter
(donations of $5,000 or more)

Major Supporters provide transformative support that strengthens Metro Arts’ capacity to invest in artists, develop ambitious projects and build a resilient future for contemporary practice in Queensland.

Major Supporters are offered opportunities for meaningful engagement with artists, curators and artistic leadership, including occasional private briefings, conversations and hosted experiences.

Your impact as a Metro Arts Commissioner
(donations of $10,000 or more)

Commissioners are among Metro Arts’ closest supporters. Their leadership enables significant artistic projects to be realised and helps shape the future of contemporary art in Queensland.

Commissioners may choose to align their support with a particular artist, project or area of impact, creating a deeper connection to the work they make possible.

Commissioners receive tailored opportunities for engagement, insight and recognition, including direct updates on the projects they support and regular exchanges with artists and Metro Arts leadership.

Give to the Metro Arts Future Fund

Metro Arts welcomes significant gifts to our Future Fund, to safeguard the future of contemporary and experimental practice in Queensland.

The Metro Arts Future Fund is the only fund of its kind supporting a small-to-medium arts company in Australia. Initiated with a sum from the sale of Metro Arts’ previous home of 40 years, the MAFF supports Australian contemporary art and artists for generations to come. Managed through Perpetual Private, the dividends on these investments contribute to Metro Arts programming, while the capital grows for future security.

if you would like to learn more about making a targeted gift to this fund then please contact Metro Arts at development@metroarts.com.au.
