A Father and Son's journey to acceptance and belonging
Oren and his father Emil arrive in a new land. With the weight of their ancestors and the opportunity to connect with a new community they must find their place in this new world and hope that they can keep their connection with each other.
Chameleon is a new contemporary ballet with original music composed by Tsoof Baras and choreography by Rani Luther. The story reflects the challenges of integration and explores the universal experience of searching for acceptance while remaining true to cultural roots.
This show was born out of a personal exploration of cultural identity. As a citizen of multiple countries, and child of first generation immigrants, finding my own cultural identity has been a difficult experience. One layered with the acknowledgment that the search for belonging is a universal one not limited to global geographic migration.
