Co-Director & Choreographer
Lisa Wilson has an international career working as director, choreographer, producer, performer, educator, and mentor. Lisa’s choreographic credits include full-length independent works (amongst others): Wireless (Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Art), Lake (Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts and national touring), Elbow Room (Brisbane Powerhouse); Commissions for: Sydney Dance Company, Queensland Theatre Company, The Australian Ballet Company, Queensland Ballet Company, Expressions Dance Company, Opera Queensland, Dance North, The Place Theatre ‘Resolution!’ (UK), Rambert Dance Company’s Education Department with the English National Trust (UK), QUT’s Dance and Drama departments and the 2008 World Dance Alliance.
In 2011 Lisa was awarded the Hephzibah Tintner Choreographic Fellowship to work with Sydney Dance Company, The Australian Ballet, and Opera Australia. In 2014 Lisa’s full-length work Lake, toured nationally as a Road Work tour through Performing Lines, was a finalist at The Australian Dance Awards and showcased at the Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM).
Lisa has also been a leading, professional contemporary dancer and from 1995-2012 collaborated and performed for prominent choreographers and companies throughout Australia and the United Kingdom, appearing in prestigious venues and Arts Festivals worldwide in Japan, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, Austria, Switzerland, Singapore, China, Germany, Mexico, New Caledonia, and the U.S.A.
As a prominent figure in the Australian dance sector Lisa has initiated programs such as Elevate, a pre-professional/emerging artist transition program, lectured for over two decades on faculty at QUT Dance, has been a peer assessor for The Australia Council for the Arts, original board member of The Supercell Festival of Contemporary Dance and board member of Ausdance Qld, providing dance expertise and representing the interests of dance artists at a governance level.
In 2022 Lisa launched Studio1, a new creative hub for independent dance and a micro-precinct for artists, events and community.
Co-Director & Co-Video Designer
Nathan Sibthorpe is a contemporary performance-maker and video designer based in Brisbane, Australia. He is best known as the director of Counterpilot – the award-winning collective of transmedia performance artists responsible for: Avoidable Perils (2020); Truthmachine (2019-21); Crunch Time (2018) and Spectate (2017). Nathan’s other credits as a performance-maker include: One Bottle Later (2020); I’ve Been Meaning to Ask You (2018); and Tyrone & Lesley in a Spot (2015. As an AV Designer, notable credits include: The Holidays (2020); Blue Bones (2017); Wireless (2017); and He Dreamed a Train (2014).
Nathan was previously Queensland Theatre Company’s Geek-In-Residence in 2012-14; the Festival Director of Short+Sweet Queensland from 2013-16; and the Creative Director for Markwell Presents Cinematic Theatre Company from 2016-18. Nathan sometimes teaches performance studies at QUT, where he holds a Masters Degree in contemporary performance.
Designer
Rozina Suliman is a theatre designer, community artist, facilitator and maker with a background in installation art, independent curating and arts administration.
Rozina’s work as a designer for live performance spans dance, theatre, opera, festivals, musical theatre, puppetry and outdoor spectacle theatre. She has worked with both large-scale companies and independents in Queensland and interstate, including; Opera Queensland, Black Swan State Theatre Company, Woodford Folk Festival, Brisbane Festival, Dark Mofo, The Farm, Phluxus 2 Dance Collective, Lisa Wilson Projects, The Last Great Hunt, Ochre Contemporary Dance Company, LINK Dance Company, Ballet Theatre of Queensland, Timothy Brown Choreography, Claire Marshall Choreography and Connect 2 Productions.
Rozina has designed and facilitated community art projects in both urban and regional locations and run workshops for primary and secondary students as well as adults. These include as an independent artist and with organisations including; State Library of Queensland, Gympie Regional Council, Woodford Folk Festival and Reverse Garbage Queensland. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Queensland College of Art (2005) and a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Production & Design) from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (2017).
Lighting Designer
Christine is a Queensland-based creative who has worked as a lighting designer for the past decade. In 2019 she was presented with the inaugural Emerging Female Leader Award at the Matilda Awards Ceremony, and has Bachelor degrees in Technical Production and Drama from QUT.
Recent credits include: The Sopranos (Opera Queensland); Ishmael (Dead Puppet Society); Caesar (La Boite Theatre Company); Rising (Playlab); Boyle & Waters in LEOTARD (Debase Productions); Dirty Laundry (The Good Room); Conviction / Elektra/Orestes / The Bull, The Moon and The Coronet of Stars (Hive Collective); Rovers (Belloo Creative); and Sound of a Finished Kiss (Now Look Here Theatre Company).
Her work with Hive Collective on The Bull, The Moon and The Coronet of Stars earned a nomination in 2022 for best lighting design at the Matilda Awards.
Christine also spends much of her time working as the lighting designer and production/ technical manager for Counterpilot, the award-winning collective of transmedia performance artists responsible for: IMB: Institute of Light; Avoidable Perils; Truthmachine; Statum; Crunch Time; and Spectate.
Christine has also worked closely with a number of lighting designers in an associate or assistant capacity, including Lee Curan; David Walters; Ben Hughes; Jason Glenwright; Glen Hughes; and Matt Scott.
Video Co-Designer & Stage Manager
Jeremy Gordon is a stage manager, technician and performance maker who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary and Applied Theatre and a Certificate II in Information Technology.
As well as being a regular collaborator with Brisbane based theatre companies The Good Room, Counterpilot and indelibilityarts, Jeremy has toured shows to every state and territory in Australia as a Freelance Stage Manage since 2014. In 2022, for his work over the previous two years, he received the QUT Creative Industries Backstage Award at the Matilda Awards.
Composer
Guy Webster is a composer, sound designer, sound artist and music producer working across the mediums of theatre, dance, circus, sound art, installation and new media.
His broad body of work has featured in theatres, festivals and galleries throughout Australia, Japan, Europe, UK, USA and China. While his live performances have seen him share the stage with the likes of Powderfinger, The Cruel Sea, Mad Professor and Sarah Blasko, he maintains a strong connection with community through a range of projects working to facilitate storytelling in all its forms.
Guy trained and worked as a dancer & choreographer in his early career while developing his practice as a composer, musician and sound artist. He has since worked with numerous companies including Qld Theatre Company, Sydney Theatre Company, Bleach Festival, La Boite Theatre Company, Shake & Stir Theatre, The Brisbane Festival, Dance North, Gogi Dance Collective, Circus Corridor, Tammy Zarb & Co, State Library of Qld &Shock Therapy Productions.
Some of his most recent highlights include – Sunsuper Riverfire, Brisbane’s Art Boat – Brisbane Festival 2021, High Tea With Booff – Humunculus Theatre, Dogs In The Schoolyard – Flipside Circus; Horizon, Blue Bones – Playlab Theatre; Naked and Screaming – La Boite Theatre, The Twits, Fourthcoming – Shake & Stir Theatre; L’Appartment – Queensland Theatre; Closer – Singapore National Gallery, Undertow – Shock Therapy.
Performer
Born in Taiwan, QUT graduated. Raw joined Dancenorth from 2006-2009 under the direction of Gavin Webber and has worked with guest choreographers such as Antony Hamilton, Ross McCormack and Sarah Jayne Howard. Then working as an independent artist she worked on projects including Stalker Theatre Company’s large-scale production Shanghai Lady Killer, Gavin Webber’s Rock Show in collaboration with Australian rock band Regurgitator, Lisa Wilson Projects’ Lake, The Farm’s The Last Blast and The Ninth Wave and Seeing Place Productions Time Capsule, Victoria Chiu’s Do You Speak Chinese for Shanghai Festival and Branch Nebula’s Snake Sessions.
Hsin-Ju is a current senior member of Phluxus2 Dance Collective led by Nerida Matthaei and has been performed angel-monster and Proximal; as featured performed in The Woman Remembers in collaboration with Belloo Creative and new work in development Mort. In 2021, she performed in Trent Dalton’s best selling novel Boy Swallows Universe adapted for stage by Tim McGarry and Shock Therapy Productions’ Locked In.

Jayden Grogan has performed professionally throughout Australia and internationally in productions by; Opera Australia, Queensland Ballet, Opera Queensland, State Opera of South Australia, Lynch & Paterson, Lisa Wilson Projects, Ozfrank Dance, Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra, Phluxus2 Dance Collective, Collusion Music and Dance, Restless Dance Theatre, JACs Entertainment Cirque Bon Bon, Ballet Theatre of Queensland, and Leipzig Ballet Director Mario Schroeder.
In December 2021, QPAC’s Cremorne Theatre presented Jayden’s world premiere one-man show, Jaz & the Big Red Dance Book. He recently directed, choreographed, and performed the role of Prometheus in the Australian Premiere of Beethoven’s The Creatures of Prometheus at the Twelfth Night Theatre. Jayden graduated from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with two degrees; a Master of Philosophy (Creative Practice) in 2020 and received Distinction for a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance Performance) in 2017. His co-created works were presented at the prestigious Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria. For Queensland Ballet’s 60th Anniversary Gala, Jayden was an Assistant Rehearsal Director and Stager.
In addition to his Vice Chancellor’s Creative Industries Scholarship and receiving Dean’s List commendations every semester, Jayden obtained the annual King’s Scholar Medal 2017 from King’s College. He has also taught contemporary partnering as a Sessional Academic Lecturer at QUT. Jayden has experienced choreographic processes across Australia with; Sydney Dance Company, Australasian Dance Collective (Expressions Dance Company), Leigh Warren Dancers, Dancenorth, Lisa Wilson Projects, and Prying Eye Productions along with multiple independent choreographers from around the world that have informed his signature ways of moving. He was chosen for Cirque Du Soleil’s official performer selection database.
Performer
Alex grew up in Sydney learning various styles of dance at a young age including jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary alongside his training as a gymnast. He attended Newtown High School of Performing Arts where he honed his talent in dance and acting. After high school Alex decided to continue his contemporary dance training and went on to attend full time courses at Ev&Bow and New Zealand School of Dance, graduating with a Certificate in Dance Performance.
After graduating, Alex moved on to work with companies such as STRUT Dance, Legs on the Wall, Hanging Around Co. and Shaun Parker and Company. He participated in multiple intensives such as the Irish Aerial Creation Centre Creative Intensive and the One Body One Career counter technique intensive which both allowed Alex to further his own practise. For its inaugural year, Alex was accepted into Legs On The Wall’s “Leg Up” program. From 2019, Alex began touring with Shaun Parker and Company Throughout the world including shows like “King”, “Happy as Larry” and “The Yard”.
Through the pandemic, Alex worked on multiple film projects and unannounced theatre works with Legs On The Wall, Shaun Parker and Company and fellow movers. After a brief hiatus from performing to settle in the city of Melbourne and learn new skills, Alex is extremely excited to return to his ultimate passion of dancing on stage.
Performer
Asher is a contemporary movement artist, creative activist and bodywork therapist. Through her art she intends to build appreciation between people, other species and the natural world, inspiring lifestyle changes toward a more sustainable, connected and wholesome way of living. Her practice draws from diverse forms of dance, circus, performance art, and physical theatre giving her an unusual physical language which she uses to speak to elements of social and environmental change.
She graduated QUT (BFA Dance Performance, Distinction) in 2013 and has since been working with Australian companies and independent artists including Broad Encounters, Strut Dance, Phluxus2 Dance Collective, Voiiid Collective, Ochre, SPRUNG!! Integrated Theatre, Russall Beattie Presents, Prying Eye, Lisa Wilson, Melissa Lanham, Courtney Scheu, Penny Mullen and Gareth Belling.
