SHE

Amy is a performer and Maker. In 2008 she co founded The Good Room with Daniel Evans. She has performed with Queensland Theatre ( Fat Pig, Seeding Bed, Trollop, The Seagull, The Odd Couple) , La Boite ( Cosi, The Tragedy of King Richard The third, Blackrock) , Elbow Room ( We Get It : MTC and Brisbane Powerhouse) and in Low Level Panic at The Old Fitz directed by Justine Martin.

Catarina holds both Arts (Acting) and Education degrees from QUT and Griffith respectively and works as a freelance director, actor, voice-over artist, mentor and teacher.

As a Director, her most recent credits include: Poison (EG & Metro Arts), Spike Heels (QUT), Look Mum…No Hands!!! and Love Me; (Co-Director indelabilityarts), the Laramie Project (NIDA open), Bumpy Angels and DNA (The Arts Centre Gold Coast), Dolores (Anywhere Theatre Festival), Head Full of Love (Re-mount & National Tour 2015 QT/C), The Pitch & Eight (QT/C), Grimm Tales & More Grimm Tales (La Boite YAC) Medea Redux: Awkward Conversations (Daniel Evans & Metro Arts), Company and The Boy From Oz (Ignatians) and Machina (La Boite Indie), Catholic School Girls (co-production with Three Sisters) and Minefields and Miniskirts (MadCat Creative connections) and The Taming of the Shrew, The Merry Wives of Windsor and Romeo and Juliet (4MBS Classic FM).

Rebecca is Co-artistic Director and co-founder of indelabilityarts. She holds both Acting (USQ) and Education degrees and currently works as an actor, workshop facilitator, producer and director.

As a director, Rebecca’s major theatre credits include Look Mum… No Hands!!! (indelabilityarts; Co-Director) & Love me;. Rebecca was also co-artistic director and actor of award winning ThreeSisters productions (Bronte & Catholic School Girls). 

After living in the UK and immersing herself in a variety of diverse theatre practices Rebecca returned to Brisbane and spent a year touring for Shake & Stir Theatre Company. She has worked with Queensland Theatre as a workshop artist and performed and toured with Debase Productions in 2009 with their show Snagged.

Other theatre credits include La Boite Theatre Company (Summer Wonderland – Matilda Award nominee), Debase Productions, 4MBS Classic FM (Much Ado About Nothing), QLD Arts Council (Sensational Harry, Idotluvdotu) and Cement Box Theatre. Rebecca’s film credits include A Hood in the Woods and Leader of the Pack.

Nici holds both a bachelor degree in Special Education and Primary Education  as well as an advanced diploma in Community services and Counselling. She is currently working to support people with mental illness and disability in Support accommodation as a Clinical Care Manager. As well as supporting children placed in residential care from the Department of Child Safety. Nici has spent the last 18 years working in a variety of roles within the Department of Education as a Teacher, Head of Curriculum and Subject Matter Expert for State Schooling and Improvement Department. Nici is thrilled to be working as an emerging writer with indelabilityarts on their latest work – SHE.

At age 5, Bianca Saez was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome; a neurological disorder, characterized by uncontrollable movements and vocalizations called tics. Although the diagnosis would prove to impart a series of challenges throughout Bianca’s life, Bianca made a choice to rise above these challenges and use both Tourette syndrome and the challenging experiences to advocate for others living with a disability and educate people across Australia and beyond. In year 5, Bianca created and produced an educational video on TS, alongside her peers, that would better inform fellow students and teachers about how to approach people living with TS and what to expect. Since then, Bianca has forged ahead down the path of advocacy, filming, editing, and producing educational videos on various social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. To date, Bianca has been interviewed for 60 minutes on three separate occasions. In 2020 Bianca founded her own motivational speaking business and has since traveled throughout Queensland participating in speaking engagements with various schools, employment agencies, and most recently at the QASEL convention in Brisbane. 

Bianca has collaborated with personalities such as Mike Goldman – On the Mike and Tics and Tats. Bianca is ecstatic about getting involved with the SHE project and sharing her experience, strength, and hope with the broader community through a different artistic platform.

Karen Lee Roberts has performed extensively in both Australia and the United Kingdom. In 2015 Karen performed her original cabaret Chameleon at QTC. Karen spoke at the 2015 Pacific Rim International Conference for Disability and Diversity in Hawaii. She has published two children’s books, including Wilbur the Optical Whale. 

Karen has performed her cabaret, Chameleon at Room to Play (2016), Anywhere Theatre Festival (2017 and 2018) and at Melbourne’s Butterfly Club (2019). She performed in indelabilityarts’ Love Me and Look Mum, No Hands! In 2018 she performed at the Bleach Festival in the show Intimate Space with Restless Dance, winning a Helpmann Award. 

Karen did two jazz gigs during the Covid-19 lockdown and her cabaret. She has MC’d for events around Brisbane, and shot two QLD Government short films for disability, including the award winning The No Pile.

Kathryn Marquet is a playwright and actor, with a passion for saving the planet. Her plays include: Dear Australia(PWA); The Secret Garden (Dead Puppet Society/QT Young Artist Ensemble); The Dead Devils of Cockle Creek (Playlab/La Boite), The Owl and the Pussycat (Little Match/Commonwealth Games/Brisfest); Pale Blue Dot (La Boite); and Furious Creatures (Queensland Premier’s Drama Award Finalist). 

As an actor, Kathryn has worked extensively in Australian theatre and film & television for La Boite, Queensland Theatre, Playlab, Bell Shakespeare, Elbow Room and many other independent companies. She performed in the feature Don’t Tell, Channel Ten’s Secrets and Lies and ABC miniseries Sisters of War. 

Awards Include: Sydney Critics’ Choice Awards, Best Supporting Actor, Post Mortem Mary, Matilda Awards: Best Emerging Artist, 2009 (winner); Best Supporting Actor, The Crucible (nominated); Lord Mayor’s Award for Best New Australian Work, PBD (nominated); Best Main Stage Production, PBD (nominated); Melbourne Green Room Awards: Best Ensemble, Prehistoric (winner). Positions: Playwright In Residence, Playlab, 2017; Playwright in Residence, La Boite, 2013; Associate Artist, Queensland Theatre, 2011-2013; Emerging Artist, Queensland Theatre, 2009. Training: USQ (Acting); UQ (Playwriting). 

She has recently completed her Masters at UQ for her adaptation of The Secret Garden and is working on a new musical production with Little Match, The Grand Ragtag Animal Band and a television series called The Painters.  

Maxine is an award-winning playwright of over twenty works for the stage. Recent awards include the 2012/2013 Queensland Premier’s Drama Award, Inscription’s Edward Albee New York City Residency Scholarship, 2012, and the Max Afford Playwright’s Award, 2014.

Recent productions include new versions of The Wind in the Willows  for La Boite Theatre, The Wizard of Oz (Danger Ensemble/La Boite Theatre Company), and Trollop for Queensland Theatre Company. Her work has been performed nationally and internationally and is published by Playlab Press and the Australian Script Centre.

Morgan Maguire is a professional actress and voice-over artist based in Brisbane. Since graduating from the NIDA acting degree in 2010, Morgan has been active within the Australian film and theatre industries, with highlights including appearing on stage with John Cleese for the Sydney Opera House Comedy Gala, acting in PJ Hogan’s feature film Mental and playing a variety of comic roles in the Melbourne Theatre Company/ NEON, Green Room award winning production of The Sovereign Wife. Morgan has also appeared in MKA’s production of Lord Willing And The Creek Don’t Rise for Melbourne Theatre Company Neon Festival, Little Ones Dracula at Theatreworks, Hidden Sydney as part of Vivid Festival and Home Invasion at the Old505. She most recently narrated the IMAX documentary – The Great Barrier Reef and appeared in Significant Others for the ABC. Morgan was a 2013 ARTSTART Australia Council recipient and won the Ian Potter Cultural Trust fellowship in 2014. In 2019 Morgan was nominated for a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress in an Independent Production for her role in Home Invasion.  

Jessica has a BA (Drama) from QUT. Her theatre credits include; That Production Company: Kill Climate Deniers, Yielding; Legs on The Wall & Dead Puppet Society: Holding Achilles (Understudy); Umber Productions: Water Wars;  Queensland Theatre: Seedingbed, Diving for Pearls (play reading), Let The Sun Shine (play reading); Dogs in the Roof: Post Office Rose, and TN!, Sons of Manix. Jessica received a Matilda Award for acting in 2007 and gained nominations in 2011 and 2018. Her Film and Television credits include, Don’t Tell Me You Love Me, Before We’re Gone, Icarus in Love, Iron Sky, Inspector Gadget 2, CODE 1115 and Finding Hope. Jessica works consistently as an actor in the corporate training environment. Jessica has also taught Drama at Griffith University for over 25 years and completed a Research Masters in 2020 exploring the work of the actor in the educational context.

Aurora is a Meanjin based multidisciplinary artist, expressing through the forms of music, poetry, performance and playwriting. With two strong cultural influences her Arrernte and Afro-Caribbean roots guide the themes central to her work, such as identity, decolonisation, healing, home and country. Graduating from QUT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2017, Aurora has since worked extensively throughout the creative industries with organisations such as La Boite Theatre Company, QPAC, PlayLab, Digi Youth Arts, Queensland Music Festival and more.
